Aditya-L1 will study the Sun

The Aditya-L1 spacecraft will be placed in an L1 orbit between the Earth and the Sun. That is, the first Lagrangian point between the Sun and Earth system. This is where Aditya-L1 will settle. A Lagrangian point is actually a parking lot of space. Where many satellites are deployed. India’s Sunyaan will be stationed at this point, which is about 15 lakh km from Earth. From this place he will study the Sun. It will not go near the sun. VELC installed in Suriyaan will take HD photo of Sun. This spacecraft will be launched by PSLV rocket. Raghavendra Prasad, principal investigator of the VELC payload, said that the scientific camera installed in the payload will take high-resolution images of the Sun. Along with this, spectroscopy and polarimetry will also be done.
